Registration and Evaluation

In order to do my job, I need to get to know students before beginning tutoring.

  • Students (or their parents) will need to complete a Registration Form. They will be provided with a complete list of my policies and procedures.  This will be acknowledged by signing the Policy Agreement.
  • Students of all ages will need to complete evaluation exercises. I provide a detailed report of these results to adults (adult students or parents/guardians).
  • There are additional costs for evaluation (it’s not a regular session fee).  Current fees for evaluation (as of 4-2018) are $50.00.
Payment Policies
  • In person sessions may be paid with cash, check or credit card (via Paypal processing).
  • In person sessions may be paid in advance or at the time of service.
  • Remote sessions and digital programs must be paid in advance using Paypal.
Attendance

Attendance for scheduled sessions is crucial to progress. It’s impossible to help students if I can’t work with them.

  • Students will be returned to waiting list if they cannot maintain at least 60% attendance rate.
Cancellation/ Rescheduling
  • 24 hour notice is required for cancellation/rescheduling. There are often students waiting for time or who need to reschedule.
  • With 24 hour notice, your paid session can be rescheduled at our mutual convenience.
  • If, for any reason, you do not give 24 hours notice, I reserve the right to charge the full price for the missed session with no reschedule or refund.
  • Exceptions may be made for a limited number of family emergencies.
  • If I need to cancel, there will be no charge for the session.
Online Tutoring, Digital Workshops and Classes, and Digital Homework
  • All programs using remote tools must be prepaid.
  • I will offer one short free  sample “session” to help clients set up and use the selected remote tools if possible.  This is to ensure that you have proper equipment and software to attend sessions or use resources.
  • If scheduled sessions are cancelled, or in the event of a no-show, there will be no refunds.
  • I will reschedule real-time sessions or extend deadlines for remote assignments if possible at our mutual convenience.
