• I’ll need to know a bit about your needs and those of the student, so please begin by completing the Registration Form.  This will help me understand your needs and goals for tutoring so we can begin to see if this will be a good fit for you.
• Decide if you prefer in-person or online services. We’ll have a conversation about scheduling needs and the array of options I can offer.
• The student will need to complete an evaluation. This is a series of exercises designed to help me understand the student’s academic skills, strengths and weaknesses, and general learning style. Evaluations are individualized, so I won’t be able to tell you exactly what form this will take until you register. Evaluation costs $50, and you will receive a detailed report about the student’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as a plan for the first tutoring sessions and numerous suggestions about home activities and exercises that will strengthen skills and build confidence.
• After the evaluation, we will have a conference (in person or via digital tools) to determine the best course of action and go over the report. At this time, we will decide if tutoring or any of my other services will be beneficial. If we decide to work together, we will set up payment and scheduling details at this time.  Parents/guardians/adult students will need to sign and return the Policy Agreement prior to the first tutorial session.
